Just Another Day at Work

In Israel it is not uncommon for a business to hold a "fun day/bonding day" for its employees. It can be as simple as a group dinner, an afternoon at a water park, or in my case...a day at the spa. This week it just so happens that all of the partners of the venture capital firm that I work for are in the USA. The office manager realized this early on and organized a day at the spa for the 5 women that work in my office. I work in Herzliya Pituach, which is as close as Silicon Valley as you can get in Israel; therefore, there are plenty of nice hotels with fully loaded spas.
My day started with an exercise class with one of my co-workers. Note: it was not my idea to take this class, but when she said that she was interested, who was I to refuse? Next came a light breakfast with all of "the girls" in the business lounge. We were then treated to a facial, massage or body peeling, followed by a dip in the jacuzzi and then the sauna. Our day ended over a decadent lunch overlooking the ocean. It was a wonderful day full of great conversation, lots of laughs and a rejuvenated feeling.
I have said many times that I was extremely fortunate to find this job. Little did I know how lucky I really was.
